Listening to the Son | Hebrews 1:5-14

Hebrews is a sermon delivered to a people who had become “dull of hearing” (5:11) what God had spoken by his Son. In order to recapture their attention, the preacher of this sermon pointed them to messengers they did respect and listen to–angels–and highlights the supremacy of the Son over the angels. As we bring this message into our day, we explore three ways the Son, Jesus, is superior to angels and apply that to our need to listen to the Son over contemporary voices that capture our attention.
